Meet the Habits: Intro to the Core Leadership Habits

Throughout this class, we are trying to work on developing various "Core Leadership Habits" that will help us have automatic, positive behaviors that will help us grow and be successful.  Go through each of the following introductory videos to get a general idea of what each Core Leadership Habit is, and why it is a helpful habit to develop in your life.

Self-Reflection:
It's how you get better.  At anything.

Learning from Failure:
You have not failed until you quit trying.

Deliberate Practice for Growth:
Bad practice makes you worse.

Being a Proactive Problem Solver:
Don't wait for problems - prevent them from happening.

Developing and Practicing Coping Skills:
Keep your best self (and brain) in control.

Listening to Understand:
How often are we really listening?

Speaking to be Heard:
Nobody wants to help a jerk.

Giving Appropriate and Effective Feedback:
Leading means helping others grow.

Seeking New Perspectives:
The world is so much bigger than you.

Finding Middle Ground:
Helping others understand each other.

Creative Thinking:
Because running into walls hurts.

Developing a Critical Consciousness:
The world isn't fair, so what will you do about it?
