SEL Curriculum

Free, open-source SEL curriculum for all ages

Feel free to use the PLT "Lab" SEL curriculum however you need (just please do not pass it off as your own creation).  Although the curriculum was originally designed with Alpha students in mind, we are working to make sure it is applicable and accessible to students beyond our schools, and we will never charge for use or access.

Our curriculum currently spans elementary through high school (with lower elementary and upper high school curriculum currently in progress).  Please check back regularly for updates and additional lessons and units.
Over the last several years of PLT "Lab"  implementation across our schools, we have found that the most effective SEL development comes from strong integration of SEL concepts and supporting structures across the school day.

Please reach out for resources, support, and advice for successful SEL program implementation at your school.

Personalized Curriculum to Match Your Students' Needs

Unlike most "traditional" school curricula, the PLT Lab curriculum is designed to be flexible and adaptive to each individual teacher's classroom needs.

PLT Lab lessons consist of detailed lesson plan teaching guides with supporting presentation slides,  student worksheets and digital tutorials matched to your students' specific needs through the use of a class "PLT Lab Culture Assessment."

MS PLT Lab: Sequenced Curriculum

If you're looking for a more "traditional" Scope and Sequence for our PLT Lessons, we've got you covered.  Follow the sequencing below for grades 5 - 8.  Lessons and units build upon each other with spiraling content across grade levels,  but many lessons can also be taught on their own in 30 - 60-minute chunks.

(Note - lessons can easily be used for grades above or below those identified in this particular sequence).
